John’s first career was local and regional economic development, helping companies locate and expand throughout Eastern North Carolina communities. That experience gave him a deep understanding of how manufacturing, distribution, and technology businesses operate and create value - insight he now applies to every engagement: assisting owners in building value in their companies and managing the transition process when they are ready to sell their companies. John works with business owners across manufacturing, distribution, technology, and beyond, drawing on decades of relationships built across the region's business community. He intentionally limits himself to no more than a handful of engagements each year, ensuring every owner gets his full attention from the first conversation through the final act of closing the sale.
